Beirut-Born Raffi Barsoumian Was Just Casted On ‘Seal Team’ On Paramount+

The Lebanese-Armenian actor, Raffi Barsoumian, is set to be a new regular cast on the upcoming season sex of “SEAL Team” on Paramount+.

According to Deadline, Barsoumian is set to play the role of Omar, a Senior Chief with 15 years of experience as a SEAL.

Being the son of immigrants from Syria, Omar has a great knowledge of the Middle East, which will help him navigate missions in the region.

The “SEAL Team” series explores the professional and personal lives of one of the most elite units of Navy SEALs and follows their training to plan and execute very dangerous high-stakes missions.

The action fiction and military drama series created by Benjamin Cavell is produced by CBS Studios, Spencer Hudnut, Christopher Chulack, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, and David Boreanaz who serve as executive producers.

Previously, Barsoumian was a series regular on the CBS drama “The Code” and had most recently played a significant role in the final two seasons of DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow”.

The Beirut-born actor also appeared on Broadway in “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” and starred with Tom Hanks in “Henry IV” for the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles.
