The repatriation of Syrian refugees began on Wednesday morning, with one hundred families.

They set out from the gathering point of trucks, machinery, and agricultural tractors in Wadi Hamid towards the amusement park on the outskirts of Arsal, towards the border point.

The trip towards the Lebanese-Syrian border was accompanied by the caretaker Minister of Social Affairs, Hector Hajjar, with security support from the army’s intelligence in northern Bekaa, while the General Security took over the process of registration, auditing, and verification of the names of the returnees.

“This is a national day with distinction,” Hajjar stated. “The processions of voluntary return have taken off to the Lebanese-Syrian border point.”
