A retired Lebanese soldier fired a gun at the entrance of Blom Bank in Sidon, South Lebanon.
This happened after arguing with a bank employee after not being able to withdraw his money.
He went to his car, got a pistol, and returned to the bank. He then shot at the glass door while the security guard was standing behind it.
No injuries were reported and he was later arrested by the military intelligence.
Bank holdups have become a recurring scene in Lebanon following years of unofficial capital control, and increased frustrations by the Lebanese as the economic conditions deteriorate.
