Prime Minister Saad Hariri revokes his resignation

Today, the Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri revoked his resignation which he

announced

on November 4 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. According to

sources

, Hariri agreed to come back since the Lebanese Cabinet reinforced the policy of disassociation. Lebanon should remain neutral regarding the regional affairs to maintain healthy relationships with neighboring countries. A few weeks ago, Hariri’s resignation shocked the world. The fact that he resigned outside the Lebanese territory was suspicious. Many politicians believed that he was pressured to resign. On the eve of the Lebanese Independence Day, Hariri came back to Lebanon to take part in the celebration. Following a discussion with the President and the Speaker of the Parliament, Hariri

suspended

his resignation. Hariri said today that Lebanon should be distanced from the internal affairs of other countries to maintain its safety.
