Prime Minister Saad Hariri met with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian this week in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Le Drian has invited Hariri to Paris, and the invitation was accepted. Hariri will meet the French President Emmanuel Macron over the weekend. The Prime Minister is expected to return to Lebanon on Monday to resign. The President Michel Aoun hopes that this visit will have positive outcomes such as finding a solution for this political crisis. The President warned people not to believe what Hariri is saying while he is in Riyadh. He added that Hariri would speak freely while in France. One of the main concerns that Lebanon will face after Hariri’s resignation will be forming a new Cabinet. The President is waiting for Hariri’s return to Lebanon to discuss his resignation.
