Lebanese Runner Scored A New National Record At World Athletics Championships In Belgrade

On Friday, the Lebanese athletics team, represented by Lebanese runner Aziza Sbaity, participated in the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

Aziza Sbaity set a national record in the 60-meter race, striking a run in 7.47 seconds.

The World Athletics Indoor Championships began on Friday, March 18, and ended on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

Aziza Sbaity is the National Record holder of 100m, 300m, 200m indoor, and 60m indoor.

She is Lebanon’s only representative at the World Indoor Championship in Belgrade 2022, after obtaining 1042 points on the 60m indoor in Prague last month, with 7.53 seconds.
