Snatcher Impersonating A Security Official Got Arrested Mid Theft In Beirut

A man was arrested in eastern Lebanon for working with Israeli intelligence, according to the Internal Security Forces (ISF).

According to the Internal Security Forces (ISF), a snatcher disguised as an official was caught attempting to steal a cellphone from a car in Ramleh El-Bayda.

Upon searching him, a military card was found, a gun permit, and a transportation license, all obtained from a military official at gunpoint.

The man claimed to be a Palestinian national, born in 1986. The items found on him were seized and he’s currently awaiting trial.

The ISF is paying increased attention to thefts due to the hike in snatching cases being reported in Beirut and across Lebanon.
