Two unknown individuals on a motorcycle shot and injured a civilian, after failing to snatch his belongings.
The snatchers left the scene after shooting the man on his foot.
The victim was then taken to the Islamic Hospital for treatment and his situation is currently stable.
The incident took place next to Sainte Famille School in Tripoli, North Lebanon.
In a similar criminal incident this week, a military sergeant was shot and killed in the south suburbs of Beirut by unknown individuals who were attempting to snatch his belongings.
Thefts are increasing in Lebanon, assumed to be due to the severe socio-economic crisis coupled with security deficiency and scarce electricity at night.
