There are clues linking the son of a prominent Lebanese official with the newly dubbed Captagon King, Hassan Daqo, reported MTV Lebanon citing judicial sources.
The official is a former Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mahmoud Komati, a school teacher turned politician when he co-founded Hezbollah. He was appointed as the vice-president of the party’s political council, according to NNA.
Hezbollah, however, denies any relationship with the son of Komati, Maysam, claiming that it is investigating him over the drug file, according to MTV’s sources.
They also claimed that, in order to cover his connection with Hassan Daqo, aka the Captagon King, Maysam tried to implicate officials and important figures by spreading fake news via fake social media accounts about their alleged involvement with Daqo.
These sources tried stressing that the featured figures, who are members of Hezbollah, the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM), and the Future Movement, have no relationships to Daqo as “they are known for their strictness in the drug file,” wrote MTV.
Pictures and videos show otherwise.
Maysam Komati will reportedly be summoned for interrogation within the next couple of days.
