Vintage and old music lovers, this one’s for you! The oldest record store in Beirut, called Chico – Music & Film, is located in the Hamra district. You can find vinyl records there, both Western and oriental! Diran Mardirian is the owner of the store. His father, who produced ten records for Ziad Rahbani, founded Chico in 1964. Diran, who is passionate about records, began helping his father ever since he was 12 years old. Instead of pursuing a career of his own, he decided to expand his father’s business and make it successful. In the video, he mentions that the shop had a huge impact on his identity. After all, he has been working there ever since he was a teenager. A hub that contains musical gems, this shop is the haven of old music lovers!
