A recent visit by a Lebanese delegation led by Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib has elicited a positive response from Syria on the issue of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
The delegation, which included key figures from Lebanon’s security and defense sectors, was met with a willingness from Syria to address various aspects related to the refugee crisis.
According to MTV, Lebanese sources shared that Syria has expressed readiness to form a coordination committee to prevent smuggling across the border.
Additionally, Syria has agreed to facilitate the return of individuals convicted of ordinary crimes and to open doors for those wishing to voluntarily return to Syria.
