Syrian Christian Family Returned to Lebanon Due To Trump Travel Ban

A Syrian Christian Orthodox family were returned to Beirut after being denied entry to the United States thanks to the ‘Trump travel ban’ put in place by Donald Trump a few days ago. Airlines operating at Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport began implementing a travel ban to the United States for nationals of seven countries. The affected countries are Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. The ‘Trump travel ban’ is a four-month freeze on refugee travel into the United States. This also affects travellers flying to the US through international airports in other countries. Another Syrian family of 3 flying from Beirut to Atlanta through Paris were returned back to Lebanon by Paris airport authorities Saturday night. The ‘Trump travel ban’ does not affect Lebanese citizens
