Abdallah Bou Habib
Abdallah Bou Habib is a Lebanese economist who holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. He is currently the managing director of a Lebanese think tank and is also the founder of the Issam Fares Center.
He has been a lecturer at Al-Hikma University since 2002, a writer for various newspapers and websites, and a guest on Lebanese and Arab talk shows.
He began his career at the World Bank in 1976 and later served as Lebanon’s ambassador to the United States from 1983 to 1990. He returned to the World Bank as an advisor before returning to Lebanon in 2001 to work as a senior advisor to the Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister.
He has written a book discussing US policy towards Lebanon. He was chosen by Prime Minister Najib Mikati and President Michel Aoun to head the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Emigrants.
