The tenth and final parliamentary session of the year concluded on Thursday morning, and Lebanon still has no president following the departure of Michel Aoun at the end of October.

Michel Moawad was leading the elections with 38 votes, however, this is not enough for him to be selected as the new president. Essentially, 37 MPs cast a blank vote.

Parliamentary Speaker Nabih Berri has not set a new date for the next session.
