Beirut nightclub “The Gärten” is reopening this Saturday!

Last month, Beirut Governor Ziad Chbib shut down the famous Beirut nightclub The Gärten for disrespecting religious practices and beliefs. A video taken at the club shows Quran verses being played. It was widely spread on social media.

The Governor ordered the club to be sealed with red tape, according to a 

statement

. The decision came after an investigation found that the club is unlicensed and broadcasts music that is disrespectful to religion.

Today, the nightclub announced on social media that it is reopening this Saturday! The club will be celebrating with the German techno artist and DJ Ben Klock from 10:00 PM till 6:00 AM. For more information about the event, click
