Movie “The Post” is banned in Lebanon

that “The Post” by the director Steven Spielberg is banned from screening in Lebanon. It was set to be released on January 18. Spielberg is of Jewish heritage, and he was blacklisted by the Arab League’s Central Boycott Office in 2006. He donated $1 million to Israel that year. The Israeli actress Gal Gadot is also on the blacklist. The movie, which features Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, is a political thriller film about an editor and the United States’ first female publisher who revealed the government’s secrets regarding its involvement in the Vietnam War. “The Post” is still featured in the coming soon section on the websites of Grand Cinemas and Vox Cinemas.
