This Lebanese Model Just Made it to the International Fashion Scene

Lebanon offers talent that runs deep to the world. Whether it’s actors, doctors, writers, producers, business people, and in this case- Models. We’re constantly blown away by the beauty of exotic and foreign models but we seem to forget the beauties with Lebanese genes in their blood. Today, we have one of ours shining Lebanon’s name in the international modeling scene, from fashion stages to fashion magazines.

Meet Lara Ghraoui, a Lebanese model who’s having the world’s fashion industry talking about her. For me, she’s no stranger. Even when we were in school together, she was a walking magnet to the eyes. She had all the characteristics to be a top model. So now, as she recently signed with New York Models’ agency, I am delighted for her yet not surprised.

According to Lara, being an international model is not only about being fit and meeting measurements but about personality as well. A strong leveled head is important to be able to survive that industry where glitz and glamour can be falsely portrayed.

And Lara has it all that’s needed to navigate it and succeed: Beauty, brain, determination, and a strong personality. As per what she shared with me, her strong will for success has opened a lot of doors for her in such a competitive industry.

Lara is currently based in New York and shifts between there and Los Angeles for modeling projects. She has already modeled for VS PINK, Fenty Beauty, Forever 21, Boohoo, Asos, and Schwarzkopf, to name a few.

She was currently in Beirut on holiday and she believes that Lebanon is still home to her, no matter where her job takes her.

While she has already made a name in the fashion world, Lara is building a career in the industry as one of the few Lebanese models in the international fashion scene.

Lara is proving that no matter where in life she resides or chooses to fulfill her job duties, she will always hold Lebanon’s name across her chest.
