Those Affected By The Beirut Blast Will Be Exempted From The 2020 Amenity Fees

The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation announced that it has implemented exemptions for applicants affected by the Beirut Blast of August 4th, 2020.

The exemption is for the applications submitted to the Corporation, from No. 1 to No. 5300, for the unpaid 2020 or 2021 issues. It indicated in a statement that it was possible to pay the 2022 issues.

Part of the subscribers had submitted requests for exemption in the implementation of the provisions of Article 9 of Law No. 194. This article stipulates that those affected by the explosion in the port of Beirut will be exempted from water, electricity, and telephone fees for the year 2020.

Plus, the continuation of the fees exemption for the period of non-completion of construction. In the event that payment was made for the year 2020, the amount is considered a payment for the year 2021 fees.
