The General Director for MTC touch Salem Itani explained that starting July 1st, two new charging vouchers will be available in the markets, and they will be sold for $ 4.7 and $ 7 each.
The vouchers supplied before July however will retain their value according to the current exchange rate.
The increase in the price comes as a result of the fuel deficiency crisis in addition to the transmission towers’ constant need for maintenance.
Prior to this, Alfa and Touch operators had led an open strike on Friday, May 20, that shut down the corporate stores, bill payment services, and the distribution of prepaid cards.
The strike was called off after the cabinet announced an ongoing plan to save the telecommunications sector.
