On Friday, June 17th, the Minister of tourism, Walid Nassar, launched a major tourism campaign from Rafic Hariri International Airport called: “If you miss Lebanon, visit it this summer.”

Within the campaign to encourage tourism, Hezbollah billboards that were long overcrowding the airport highway and other political posters have been replaced by new billboards representing Lebanon.

The first videos and promo of the campaign were posted last week on the Instagram account of the Minister of Tourism, and shared by social media users.

Tourism this summer is expected to be very promising. Over 1 million tourists and Lebanese from the diaspora have already arrived in the past weeks and more are expected, especially in July and August.

The launch of the ministry’s campaign is a temporary decree to promote tourism in Lebanon for the summer season, and it is inviting tourists to send photos of them when they arrive in Lebanon.
