The Caretaker Minister of Tourism, Walid Nassar, announced the launch of the summer 2022 campaign “Ahla Bhal Talleh,” (Welcome To Lebanon) in cooperation with “Live Love Lebanon.”

Sponsored by Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the launch of the 2022 summer campaign introduces tourism projects for the coming period.

During the ceremony, Nassar expressed that Lebanon is looking forward to welcoming “Arab brothers in their second country,” adding that tourism is the backbone of Lebanon’s economy.

Walid Nassar highlighted that the private sector remains a permanent contributor to the tourism sector, as it has proven its main success and creativity during these times.

He explained that the main action plan of the Ministry of Tourism is to promote the “decentralization of tourism,” as the ministry started increasing tourist offices.

Nassar added that, according to recent data, the expected number of arrivals is 1.2 million. He explained, “Our goal in promoting tourism in Lebanon is to encourage the diaspora to visit the country and introduce the new generation born abroad to the culture of their country.”

It is worth noting that, in preparation for one of the most promising summer seasons in years, the Ministry of Tourism has already taken several measures, including the removal of politically affiliated billboards along the airport’s highway.
