Tripoli Municipality launches hotline to rescue child beggars

The Municipality of Tripoli, in cooperation with the International Rescue Committee, launched a hotline to report special needs children that are begging on the streets. Millions of children around the world are working instead of going to school. This hotline aims at helping children get off the streets. Rasha Fayez Sankri, who is a member of Tripoli’s municipal council,

said

that this initiative aims to help children go to school and engage in extracurricular activities. Sankri encourages people to help the municipality protect these children’s rights. Call 70 048 008 if you see any child working on the streets.
