US Is Giving $72 Million In Aid To Help Feed Lebanese People

On Wednesday, the United States pledged $72 million in humanitarian aid to Lebanon, announced the director of USAID, Samantha Power, during her visit to the country.

Aimed at feeding thousands of Lebanese currently struggling to put food on the table as the crisis deepens. Power stated that the aid would allow 660,000 new beneficiaries to receive support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

According to Reuters, USAID had already provided $260 million in assistance and aid to Lebanon in 2022, as it pledged $40 million in January, $64 million in March, and $29.5 million in August.
