The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Lebanon have reached an agreement to reopen the UAE Embassy in Beirut.
This decision was made during a meeting between UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
Held at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in economic and developmental sectors.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his hopes for Lebanon’s stability and prosperity. Both nations agreed to form a joint committee to streamline visa issuance for Lebanese citizens traveling to the UAE.
Mikati updated Sheikh Mohammed on Lebanon’s current challenges, while the latter reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to Lebanon’s unity and sovereignty.
