State Security in Nabatieh has launched an operation to dismantle tents housing unlicensed Syrian refugees.
Two tents in the Ain Arab area, belonging to an individual identified as “M.S.,” have already been removed.
According to a State Security source, the operation aims to curb disorder among the displaced population and to address concerns about potential affiliations with terrorist organizations.
The source emphasized that local municipalities should be vigilant in providing shelter, ensuring that all legal and identification documents are thoroughly checked.
This step came as a response to recent findings in Syrian refugee camps around Lebanon, including weapons and drones among other ammunitions.
