The grieving town of Baakline has lost nine of its residents who have been shot dead in a mass shooting on Tuesday, April 21st.

Bodies of the victims were found scattered randomly at the various crime scenes. In a series of murders, the gunman took the lives of both Lebanese and Syrian residents of the town, including two children.

The gunman Mazen Harfoush killed his wife, Manal Harfoush, for suspecting her to be having an affair. The two were married since 2013 and have two young daughters.

Manal was also a math teacher at Ecole Saint-Maroun and an instructor at the Modern University for Business & Science.

According to MTV, she was found decapitated and her children are missing along with her murderer husband who is still at large.

One of his brothers, Karim Nabil Harfoush, arrived at a murder scene to calm him down but was shot dead.

Mazen also killed a Syrian couple and their two children aged 10 and 15.

After that, he went on a shooting spree murdering three more men; one Syrian worker (Y.F) and two Lebanese men (Mohammad A. and Mahmoud A.) from Arsal.

In total, the victims of the mass shooting included five Syrians, three Lebanese men, and a Lebanese woman.

The murderer, who is said to be possibly accompanied by his brother F. Harfoush, is still on the loose and being chased tirelessly by security forces and police dogs.
