Yesterday, a Middle East Airlines on route from Beirut to London had to make an emergency landing Wednesday at Istanbul’s airport after a fight broke out between two passengers. According to LBCI, one of the passengers got into a dispute with an air hostess then assaulted her. This prompted the other passenger to rise to her defence and engage in a fistfight with the first passenger. The captain of the plane decided to land in Istanbul, according to emergency procedures and the police were called in to arrest the assaulter.
