The National News Agency (NNA) reported that the Lebanese army arrested the artist Wadih Al-Sheikh, against the background of his entry and a group of armed men to the campus of Al-Ra’i Hospital in Sidon.
In the details, Al-Sheikh tried to enter with a group of gunmen in the hospital’s surgery department to check on one of his relatives, who was undergoing an operation on his hip. The hospital security objected to the gunmen’s entry and prevented them from entering, and no cracking or sabotage occurred inside the hospital.
As a result, members of the Lebanese Army attended and worked to arrest the artist and confiscate weapons.
The Appeal Public Prosecutor in the south, Judge Raheef Ramadan, had requested the arrest of Al-Sheikh and the group of gunmen accompanying him on the grounds that they entered the hospital with their weapons.
