Born in Byblos in 1968, Walid Nassar holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), and a graduate degree in the same major from the ESTP University in Paris.
He is a member of the Engineer’s Syndicate since 1991 and holds degrees in planning, programming, geography, and quality control.
Professionally, Nassar is the founder and director of a few companies in engineering, project management, and contracting, in both Lebanon and Saudia Arabia.
He has looked over several projects locally and internationally, including consultancies and redesigning Dubai 2020 Expo. He has also shared in many local and regional summits.
Walid Nassar was chosen by President Michel Aoun to be the new Minister of Tourism in the newly-formed cabinet of Najib Mikati.
