A video went viral on Saturday showing young men watching and cheering the Lebanese basketball winning against its Jordan counterpart.

However, those avid basketball fans weren’t watching the match normally sitting in a café or enjoying it at home, but they were ditching pre-wedding celebrations to support The Cedars!

This video shows how much the Lebanese people were rooting for their national basketball team breaking the barriers in the Asian Cup, which has boosted their sense of patriotism.

A day after the video went viral, The Cedars faced the Australia team and ended up being the first runner-up of the FIBA Asia Cup 2022.

The Lebanese player, Wael Arakji, also won the MVP (Most Valuable Player) award at the prestigious championship!
