William Noun was arrested during the protest in front of the house of the designated MP Najib Mikati.

William Noun is the brother of Joe Noun, a member of the Fire Brigade team that was killed by the Beirut Port Explosion on August 4th, 2020.

According to witnesses, William was dragged across the street after getting beaten up by members of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) and was then taken to an unknown location.

William has reportedly suffered from serious injuries due to the beating he received. His family has now blocked the Jbeil highway as a form of protest against his arrest.

ISF released a statement assuring that everyone who attacked Mikati’s residence will be arrested, which further sparked outrage among Lebanese people.
