The Lebanese journalist Paula Yacoubian received the Order of the Crown from King Philippe of Belgium. It is one of the highest orders nationally.
The ceremony was held at the Embassy of Belgium in Lebanon where the Ambassador, His Excellency Alex Lenaerts, offered the order to Yacoubian who was praised for her active involvement in the humanitarian and environmental spheres in Lebanon.
Yacoubian is also famous for empowering women. She’s the first journalist to receive this order. She is also the founder of DAFA, which is a campaign that collects clothes and other essential items that people might need in winter.
