After months of waiting and procrastinating in ending the crisis of issuing passports to the Lebanese, the General Directorate of Public Security has just announced the reopening of the platform, starting on Monday morning, June 13, 2022.
This announcement is made after the Directorate was informed yesterday, June 9th, that the French company had received the transferred amount, estimated at $14 million, to print the passports.
Accordingly, the General Directorate of Public Security wishes the citizens who do not urgently need a passport not to rush to book appointments so that those in dire need can obtain theirs.
