Within the framework of the daily follow-up by the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) to combat drug trafficking, information was made available to the Division about unknown persons peddling drugs along the coastal highway from Nahr al-Kalb to Byblos (Jbeil).
As a result of the investigations, this division came to the identification of two suspects:
Sh. R. (born in 1966, Lebanese)
Sh. A. (born in 1995, Lebanese)
On May 28 and 30, and after a careful monitoring and control process, one of the Division’s patrols was able to arrest the first suspect in Jounieh while he was peddling drugs in a black “Lancia” car.
Another patrol was able to arrest the second suspect in Adonis on board a “V150” motorcycle, which was found to be used in promotional operations.
160 g of cocaine, money, cell phones, and tools used for drug use were seized.
The suspects confessed during the interrogation of the crime of promoting drugs to a large number of customers in the Kessrwan areas by car and motorcycles.
They also admitted that they had received drugs from the Al-Laylaki locality.
The legal requirement was carried out against them, and they were arrested with the seized tools.
