Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi saluted President Michel Aoun for his persistence in the sea border demarcation process between Lebanon and Israel and for his keenness in the unity of decision with each of the parliament speaker and the prime minister.
The patriarch hoped the legal demarcation will be implemented and that this unity of decision would also entail the election of a new president before October 31.
“Cooperation among all parties is necessary, but not at the expense of sovereignty, and it is a common positive responsibility that should not reach the extent of vetoes or obstruction,” al-Rahi commented.
