A book of condolences for Queen Elizabeth II will open for the public at the National Library in Beirut over the next four days, the British embassy said on Monday.
The book of condolences will be open during the following times:
- Tuesday 13 September: 9am – 1pm
- Wednesday 14 September: 12pm – 4pm
- Thursday 15 September: 9am – 1pm
- Friday 16 September: 9am – 1pm

Queen Elizabeth II, the United Kingdom’s longest-serving monarch, passed away at Balmoral at the age of 96, after reigning for 70 years and 214 days, the longest recorded of any woman head of state in history.
The Queen was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, in Mayfair, London, on 21 April 1926 and came to the throne in 1952.
