The Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water announced the fair price of tariffs for private electric generators for the month of September.
Price rates are issued at the end of each month for subscribers to pay their bills accordingly.
For subscribers in cities, or at an altitude of fewer than 700 meters: 16,350 L.L. per kilowatt hour.
- 5 amp capacity: 120,000 L.L. + Monthly installment X 16,350 L.L for every kilowatt hour.
- 10 Amp capacity: 240,000 L.L. + Monthly installment X 16,350 L.L for every kilowatt hour.
For subscribers in villages or distant areas or at an altitude of more than 700 meters: 17.985 L.L. per kilowatt hour.
- 5 amp capacity: 120,000 L.L. (fixed) + monthly lump sum X 17.985 L.L. for every kilowatt hour.
- 10 Amp capacity: 240,000 L.L. (Fixed) + monthly lump sum X 17.985 L.L. for every kilowatt hour.
The ministry noted that an additional 120,000 L.L. is added to the fixed portion of the metered price for every additional 5 amperes.
It pointed out that this tariff is based on the average price of a diesel fuel tank (20 liters) in September of 809.467 pounds, after calculating all the expenses, benefits, and costs of generators, in addition to a good profit margin for its owners.
