An online user is claiming to be selling a massive database of car owners in Lebanon that contains 3 million records.

The offer was first posted back on June 1st by a person who goes by the username PieWithNothing on the RaidForums database-sharing and marketplace forum.

RaidForums is a high-profile platform with around 450,000 registered users that discuss database leaks, hacking, and various other technology-related topics.

The user in question claims that the car owners database is 2021-relevant and that it includes the following data fields and others:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Place of birth
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Plate number
  • Chassis number
  • Engine number
  • Car model
  • Car brand
  • Car color
  • Acquisition date

The user accompanied the post with a sample of the database showing several entries that include data from the above fields.

The unidentified user is selling the database for $600. As of August 12th, the database was still on sale, according to a comment posted by the same user.

If that illegal sale of data goes through, 3 million Lebanese will bear the consequences of having their personal information out in the wind, and in the hands of fraudsters.
