In the early morning hours of Monday, August 22nd, a part of the last surviving section of the Beirut Port Pilos collapsed.
Many Lebanese people were hoping that at least part of the silos would survive as a lasting memory of the crime committed by the ruling class.
Unfortunately, however, the remaining part of the northern section is still burning and has a large leaning degree. It is expected to completely collapse in the coming days.
