The Syndicate of Bakery Owners expressed the possibility of flatbread witnessing an increase in price by LBP 2,000.
Bakeries are reportedly running out of flour and hence grocery stores across Lebanon are receiving smaller amounts of bread bundles.
Amid the alarming crisis and calls to protect the food security of the people, the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade issued on Thursday a new list of flatbread prices.
However, on the black market, bread is currently being sold at inflated prices.
