Ten Prisoners Escaped From A Lebanese Jail

10 prisoners escaped from a jail in the Lebanese southern city of Sidon on Wednesday evening. Security forces arrested 5 of them shortly after the escape.

The prisoners escaped from the New Saida al-Hisbah police station.

Reportedly, several of the escaped prisoners entered the Palestinian camp of Ain al-Hilweh. Security services were communicating and negotiating with Palestinian officials to hand over the fugitives.

The Ain al-Hilweh is one of the many Palestinian camps in Lebanon where the Lebanese authorities don’t have jurisdiction.
