There are now more female municipal police officers in Lebanon!

With the support of the Embassy of Canada to Lebanon and Lebanese municipalities, UNDP Lebanon launched a project to promote gender equality by including women in the municipal police across the country. UNDP held exhibitions in Zahle, Bourj Hammoud, and El Mina to promote change in this field. According to


, there are little or no women police officers in certain regions. In this video, people are giving their opinions on female police officers. Most of them noted that it’s a great initiative since women need to be more active in the society.
