On Thursday, Lebanon learned new updates about Free Patriotic Movement leader Gebran Bassil’s condition.
The former minister recently tested positive for coronavirus, as the country suffers a severe resurgence in infections.
According to local media sources, Bassil was admitted into the Hotel Dieu hospital because he reportedly suffered shortness of breath.
The FPM press office later issued a statement saying that he entered the hospital as part of a routine checkup on his condition and doctors preferred he remains under close surveillance.
Nonetheless, the statement announced that Bassil is in good health and stable condition. He continues to work from his whereabouts and assures the public that there is no need for concern.
