Amos Hochstein, the American energy mediator in the maritime border negotiations between Lebanon and Israel, will reportedly travel to Beirut in the next two weeks among advancement indications in the case.
According to a report in Al-Binaa on Monday, “a U.S. initiative will kick out within the next two weeks, including an anticipated visit by U.S. mediator Amos Hochstein aimed at renewing the negotiations.”
A resolution is expected, especially given that the United States is prioritizing this case as part of its conflict with Russia.
Two days prior, Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim, head of general security, stated that “Lebanon stands facing a very large possibility to restore its wealth through the demarcation of the maritime border.”
