MP Cynthia Zarazir entered Byblos Bank, Antelias branch, unarmed to demand a part of her deposit to pay for an upcoming surgery, according to a depositors’ advocacy group.
Zarazir, a first-time parliamentarian, is holding a sit-in inside the Byblos Bank in Antelias demanding a part of her $8,000 deposit.
Al Jadeed reported that the bank branch was immediately shut down after she entered.
About 5 hours later, Zarazir left the bank with her $8,000 deposit.
