The Winter Olympics will take place next month in Pyeongchang which is a city in South Korea. The winter games will feature fifteen sports, and world-class athletes will compete for the gold medals. The event will start on February 9 and end on February 25. The Municipality of

that Samer Tawk is the first Lebanese skier to be qualified for the Winter Olympics. Samer will take part in the Pyeongchang Olympic. He is a member of the cross-country skiing team which will compete starting February 10. His coach is Aleksandar Milenković who is a Serbian cyclist, biathlete and cross-country skier. Lebanon is very proud of Samer! We wish him the best of luck!
