Lebanon’s Kyokushin Karate team has been crowned the title at the 11th Arab Kyokushin Championship, which was held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
About 250 players representing 7 Arab countries participated in the tournament, including Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, and Kuwait, as well as the organizing and host country Lebanon.
The championship was held over 2 days during which the Lebanese team won 1st place after obtaining 730 points against the Iraqi team, which won 2md place with 465 points.
The 3rd place was for the Palestinian team with 95 points. Syria got 55 points and came in 4th place. The Kuwaiti team came in 5th place with 50 points and the Tunisian team 6th with 10 points.
The tournament was watched by a large audience. The majority of the matches were characterized by strong competition and the brilliant performance of the Kyokushin Karate players.
