The Minister of Information in the caretaker government, Ziad Al-Makari, announced that the National News Agency (NNA) will start an open strike from this midnight, hoping that it will not be prolonged.
Al-Makari said in a statement: “As a whole week has passed since the general assembly of workers in the Ministry of Information took the decision of the warning strike, I regret to announce that my efforts have not succeeded in breaking through the wall of the persistent crisis, nor to avoid the bitter decision.”
The open strike came after all means have been exhausted to address the conditions of the employees and enable them to continue working.
Accordingly, the National News Agency (NNA), from midnight, will start an open strike, after its employees felt the impossibility of reaching the work center to follow up on their message, which they were never exempted from performing.
