The Ministry of Economy announced an increase of LBP 2,000 for flatbread bundles. He also added that large bundles will no longer be available in the market.
The new flatbread bundle prices are now as follows:
The small flatbread bundle is being sold for LBP 9,000
The medium flatbread bundle is being sold for LBP 15,000
The minister explained that the increase in the price is a result of “carefully studying” the prices of the ingredients.
The continuous deterioration and instability in the USD rate exchange mean that the prices will continue to change.
On Friday, the Lebanese Lira hit its lowest historical level with the USD exceeding LBP 37,000.
