The World Martial Arts Championship that took place in Amsterdam, between March 23 and 27, saw the crowning of the Lebanese Sandra Succar as the World MMA Champion.
The World MMA Championship is organized by the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA), which is the global body for mixed martial arts (MMA), for men and women.
22-years-old Sandra Succar fought her way to the finals, knocking out her final opponent, from The Netherlands, and earned the gold medal, making it a point to raise the Lebanese flag.
The Netherlands took 2nd place, and the United States and the Czech Republic got 3rd place.
Sandra expressed her great happiness and gratitude to everyone who supported her: “I’ve been working for years for this moment it’s amazing my country is passing through a difficult time, it’s something to celebrate, I’m very proud I want to thank my friends, family, coach, and everyone who supported me.”
